Pat tofu dry and gently press to remove excess water.
Slice into 1/2 inch slices.
Place cornstarch in a medium size shallow bowl.
Dip the tofu in the cornstarch, fully and lightly coating both sides. Set aside.
Add a little oil to a wok or large pan set over medium high heat.
Once the oil is hot enough, (check by adding drops of water to oil. If it sizzles, it's hot enough) add the tofu slices, 4 to 5 at a time. Let cook on one side until browned, about 1 minutes. Flip and brown the other side.
Remove from wok or pan when done. Serve immediately.
